The King’s Pigment
For centuries, deep blue carried a sense of rarity and status. Rich pigments made from lapis lazuli were costly and prized, giving blue a lasting connection to royal dress, art, and courtly interiors. The King’s Pigment brings that same regal color to the Shabbos table in a fresh, inviting way.
Start with a crisp white tablecloth to let the cobalt blue take center stage. Place a cobalt charger at every seat, then layer a delicate blue-and-white floral appetizer plate on top. Add matching blue stemware, polished silver flatware, and neatly folded white linen napkins over deep blue napkins.
Fill one tall cobalt vase with white roses, hydrangeas, and baby’s breath. Set it on a square mirror tray to reflect the flowers and saturated blue glass. Add a cobalt spring-water bottle and a silver tray filled with small bowls of freshly prepared dips.
Finish the table with slim white tapers and low glass votives. Their warm light softens the bold blue and gives the setting the stately, welcoming feel behind its name.
